Aaron Rodgers is being considered by Robert F. Kennedy Jr. as his presidential running mate, but not everyone – namely WFAN radio host Gregg Giannotti – believes the interest is legitimate.
On Tuesday, The New York Times reported that Kennedy approached both Rodgers and ex-wrestler Jesse ‘The Body’ Ventura to be his vice presidential pick, with RFK Jr. himself confirming that he’d been speaking ‘pretty continuously’ with the Jets quarterback for the past month.
And while the Times added that Rodgers welcomed the approach from Kennedy, Giannotti thinks the recent update is merely an attention ploy for his campaign – and doesn’t expect to see Rodgers on the campaign trail anytime soon.
‘This will be a story today, it will continue, but there is no way you’re going to see Aaron Rodgers on a campaign trail,’ Giannotti said on ‘Boomer & Gio’ on Wednesday.
‘You’re not going to see him in a situation where he is debating people. That’s just not going to happen. I just think this is a grandmaster plan to get attention to RFK Jr.’s campaign, which is working, and then once Aaron Rodgers is asked about it, he’ll say something along the lines of, ‘Yeah, I mean obviously we are friends and we talked about this and it’s something I want to do if it was a different time in my life but I obviously have a commitment to the Jets but I want people to understand his message and consider what he’s saying.’ Then, it will be gone.’

But WFAN host Gregg Giannotti believes that the apparent interest is just an attention grab
Kennedy is running as an independent and is a major longshot to win the presidency over the likes of President Joe Biden or former President Donald Trump.
Kennedy will have to name a running mate in the next few weeks to appear on the independent ballot.
And while Giannotti doesn’t foresee RFK Jr. and Rodgers in the White House, he believes the pair will be hoping to at least shift some opinions.
‘What I think this is, is Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Aaron Rodgers wanting to get Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s message out there more than it has been because it’s been a lot of Trump, a lot of Biden, a lot of Democrat, a lot of Republican and they probably know they can’t win. … But they’d like to change some people’s minds in the process,’ Giannotti said.
According to a bombshell CNN report on Thursday , Rodgers had private conversations where he ‘enthusiastically’ shared ‘deranged conspiracy theories’ about the Sandy Hook shooting not being real.

Rodgers allegedly shared his debunked theories about the shooting that killed 20 children and six adults to CNN journalist Pamela Brown, who co-wrote the new report, during the 2013 Kentucky Derby.
A different anonymous source told CNN that several years ago Rodgers claimed ‘Sandy Hook never happened…All those children never existed. They were all actors.’
And during the alleged conversation with Brown, Rodgers called the shooting ‘a government inside job,’ and claimed the media was ‘intentionally ignoring it.’
Of course, for all of these Rodgers headlines, he has played just one game for the Jets after tearing Achilles in Week 1 last season, and his teammates are said to be ‘upset’ with him.
