A US Marine Corps Captain reunited with his family on the SoFi Stadium turf on Monday night as helicopter pilot captain Justin Vega walked out from the tunnel to greet his family.
Vega’s son Leo immediately jumped into his arms during halftime of the Rams-Dolphins game and both were crying happy tears at being reunited.
Justin then proceeded to slowly turn in a circle with his son in his arms behind one of the SoFi Stadium end zones.
Vega’s mother-in-law Nancy was at the game as well, with his wife in on the surprise for their son.
ESPN’s Scott Van Pelt, who was narrating the moment from the press box, called it the ‘biggest roar of the night’.

Justin was in military uniform, while Leo and other family members were wearing Los Angeles Rams gear.
Miami led at halftime 10-6 in the game and Los Angeles could not come back for the victory, falling to the Dolphins 23-15.
The Dolphins snapped a 3-game losing streak with the victory, while the Rams fell below .500 with the defeat.
Military reunions have been common in public places, with US service men and women serving long periods overseas with limited communication with their families.
Vega’s wife is wearing a Puka Nacua jersey, while Leo is wearing No 99, the jersey of recently retired Rams legend Aaron Donald.
Plenty of video cameras and photographers surrounded Justin and Leo for their long embrace.
