Kirk Cousins’ wife has joked that everyone in their family is excited about moving to Atlanta after her quarterback husband agreed to a four-year, $180million contract with the Falcons, except for their beloved Australian Labradoodle, Abe.

Sharing move out plans with NFL fans on Instagram on Monday, Julie showed both of her sons, Cooper and Turner, getting ready for the family’s long road trip down south and their dog not being in the best of moods ahead of getting in the car.

‘Packing up to head south…great time to play some instruments,’ Julie captioned her story of both of her sons playing toy instruments before getting into their car seats.

‘Atlanta here we come!’

In another video, Julie showed Abe pouting in the kitchen and wrote: ‘This guy is the only one not excited about moving down south!’

The Cousins adopted Abe during Kirk’s time on the Vikings, which began in 2018.

Julie, who’s a Georgia native, and her husband got hitched in Atlanta, back in 2014.

The couple also own a home in the Peach State.

Julie paid tribute to the Vikings and fans of the franchise on Instagram ahead of the family relocating this week.

‘We came to Minnesota 6 years ago when Cooper was just 6 month [sic] old and Turner came shortly after!!’ Julie revealed. ‘Time flies when you’re having fun!

‘I just want to say thank you to everyone who helped us build our life in Minnesota over the past 6 years. We have the most beautiful memories we will cherish forever!’

Cousins will be looking to an injury-free spell in Atlanta after tearing his right Achilles last year

Cousin’s agreement with the Falcons comes as a major surprise to many, considering that the 35-year-old will earn $100M in guaranteed money. In the fall, he’ll be playing in his 13th NFL season on the back of a torn right Achilles suffered in Week 8 of the 2023-24 season at Lambeau Field.

Cousins had barely missed an NFL game due to injury before then, only missing a game once because he tested positive for COVID-19.

Before tearing his Achilles toward the end of last season, Cousins was in stellar form, as he was tied-first in the league for the most touchdown passes (18).

He will be surrounded with plenty of talent on the Falcons, as he will play alongside Bijan Robinson, Drake London and Kyle Pitts, giving fans hope that the team will be back in the playoffs for the first time since 2017.

The Vikings moved on from Cousins by signing Sam Darnold to a one-year deal.
