Scott Munn is expected to leave Tottenham after two years as the club’s chief football officer.

Australian Munn looks likely to carry the can for the injury crisis having led the review that ended with the exit of long-serving head of medicine Geoff Scott last year.

This season’s injury record has not improved and is arguably worse.

Chairman Daniel Levy has already launched his latest reshuffle of Tottenham’s executive tier with Vinai Venkatesham announced as the new chief executive, set to start in the summer.

Munn, 51, has been a background figure, charged with shaking up and streamlining various departments, which has included several people losing jobs and seldom made him very popular.

He arrived from the City Football Group’s Chinese branch in 2023, the same year as head coach Ange Postecoglou.

Spurs have begun to see several of their first-team stars return to full fitness and their performance against Eintracht Frankfurt on Thursday night hinted at what Postecoglou can achieve with his full compliment.

The Australian eased the pressure on his shoulders after an impressive 1-0 away win, courtesy of Dominic Solanke’s first-half penalty, that sent the London club into the last four of the Europa League.

Spurs are hoping to claim their first major trophy in 17 years and in the process qualify for the Champions League.
