Hank Azaria’s Hilarious Jets and Mets Fandom ups and downs

admin

Legendary voice actor Hank Azaria hilariously portrayed the contrast of emotions felt by fans of the New York Mets in MLB and the New York Jets in the NFL.

The Jets are just starting their season while their baseball counterparts in Queens are at the tail end of their campaign. However, the state of their seasons and the results the teams are producing could not be more distant.

In a video posted on his X (Twitter) account, Azaria showed the bipolar rollercoaster of feelings he gets from supporting both teams today.

The 30-second video opens a closeup clip of him in a Jets shirt, looking defeated, with ‘Angel’ by Sarah McLachlan playing in the background. It then cuts back and forth with a video of him ecstatically celebrating a Mets win at Citi Field.

‘The current state of being a (m)(j)ets fan,’ Azaria wrote.

Despite getting a healthy Aaron Rodgers at quarterback, the Jets are off to a 2-4 start this season, sitting third in the AFC East.

After a 23-17 defeat to Minnesota, the Jets fired head coach Robert Saleh and gave Jeff Ulbrich the interim assignment.

In their most recent and third straight loss, kicker Greg Zuerlein summarized the Jets’ luck when he hit the post in two important field goal opportunities. They would surrender a 20-23 loss to Buffalo.

The Jets have recently acquired receiver Davante Adams in a trade from Las Vegas in hopes to turn their fate against Pittsburgh on Sunday.

On the other hand, the Mets have found much success this year, finishing second in the NL East with an 89-73 record.

After clearing the Brewers and Phillies in the playoffs, they are games away from a World Series appearance. The Mets are 1-1 against the Dodgers in the NLCS.
