Online troll fired for sexist remark towards female football fan

An online troll has claimed he was ‘sacked’ after being reported to the police following a brutal ‘fridge freezer’ weight jibe aimed at a female football fan.

The incident occurred after X, formerly known as Twitter, user @abbey1878 shared a picture of herself and two other friends attending Everton’s trip to Ipswich Town on Saturday.

Shortly after her post, another user replied saying: ‘No wonder the kick off was delayed if a fridge freezer has had to go through the turnstiles’.

The online troll made reference to the fact the Premier League game was delayed due ‘turnstile issues’ on the day.

In response, another user got involved and replied saying: ‘I have reported @37HJ__ to @gmpolice for immediate investigation. The nice gentleman there said they’ve had many reports this evening regarding this individual and @X have already supplied them with the person’s identity. He should be jailed. Utter scum’.

Everton’s players had already finished their pre-match warm-up when news of the delay broke.
