Those umpires are blind
wow that was a clear strike on tucker
The Mariners city connects are amazing
Good to see the Astros heating up against their rivals huge to see both Tucker AND Alvarez going yard in this one
When a miscall from an ump leads to an L, feels bad man.
Seattle uniforms are butt ugly, just like Seattle.
Man that slider call by brash was huge when the very next pitch was a slider hit for a homer
The double play at the end 😭😭
That missed strike call hurts…
Yordaddy is home.😂
I hate how people think these two are rivals when there are not. If it wasn’t for MLB extending playoffs with two extra teams in 2022 the Mariners wouldn’t have made it.
Great game by both teams 👍⚾️
I love the rivalry and the games against the Astros are always tough. But that blown strike 3 call on Tucker drastically altered this game and that is really disappointing.
Highlight of the game for me was seeing wong get that clutch hit. Go mariners!
Those uniforms look really nice.
What. A. Game… Lets do it again mariners!! Gotta give it to the mariners.. Looking good yall.. Go stros!!
Dam, we got to get some of these games. I will be their Sunday with the family, Let's go M's!!
Attended this game. And the biggest difference was:
The Astros play all aspects of the game, well.
For example, the innings leading up to the three run scored. They were patience. And probing to see where Luis Castillo was at. But during the inning that the runs were scored, the Astros played small ball, moved players into better scoring positions. Got base hits and got a home run, that scored three runs. If you want to see why they won the world series. Just examine methodically and in detail exactly how that offensive production unfolded. And I would say. Well done. Also, that is is difference between Dusty Baker and the entire Astros organization. And Scott Servais and the entire Mariners organization. Also… The general management team of the Seattle Mariners. Needs to stop trading players. Now…. build upon what they have.
Situational baseball:
Now take a look at how they scored the next run. A man was on first and third, with one out. As soon as the pitcher throws the ball to the batter. The man on first starts to steal second. Cal Raleigh, then throws the ball to second. It doesn't matter if he is tagged out at second base. Because scoring the run from third, is the most important thing. And that's because if you tag the runner out at second. There's only two outs, and the runners scores from third.
And sure enough, the man on third hesitated slightly, and then heads for home, scoring an additional run. And now you're down 4 to 0, against the Houston Astros. Yes, you know them well, and just in case you're forgotten, they are the reigning world champions. And one of the best teams in the MLB. But I don't need to remind the Mariners organization of that tiny fact, or…. Do I?🙎
Now let's take a look at the last two runs for the Astros. Brash can't consistently throw strikes, without the batter swinging. In other words, he relies on the batter chasing and swinging out of the strike zone. Just take a look at the first batter he faced. Did he swing at any pitches? And what was the end result? A walk. What happened when with the next batter? Full count, and when Brash was forced to pitch in the strike zone. Home run, the Astros then close out the game.
This game could have had a different outcome if the Mariners did not make some costly mistakes: Even though Wong is starting to catch up on offense, he is still making mistakes on defense, such as bobbling the ball, before throwing. If you watch Crawford or Suarez, they secure and control the ball before they release it. That's just fundamental basic baseball. Ya, it only adds an additional second to completing the play. Therefore there is plenty of time to complete the play. Because, the ball moves faster then a runner can run. Again, fundamental basic baseball.
"He who hesitates is lost." That's exactly what happened in the bottom of the 9th inning, when Hernández hesitated rounding first, and going to second base. He would have beat the throw if he didn't hesitate. Either stay at first or run hard to second.
Tehoscar está un poco desesperado 🫠
WAY TO GO ASTROS
Yaaaaaaaaa!!!!!!! 💯💯💯💯💯 ASTROS💯😎😂
Those uni’s are a joke
Hahaha houston never had a chance
🤔I like the Mariners,but I gotta tell ya-the M's got beat (black&blue)😎
Come on Mariners aim for .500 or even above .500 😎
