Prince William looked delighted as he took his place in one of the executive boxes at Villa Park on Thursday evening for Aston Villa’s Europa Conference League semi-final clash against Greek visitors Olympiacos.
The Prince of Wales is a self-confessed Clarets supporter and evidently refused to miss one of the club’s most historic nights in recent memory as Villa seek to progress to a major European final.
The royal was seen actively engaging in conversations with those around him and pointed out various things happening inside the ground prior to kick-off.
William has been involved in helping his father, King Charles III, ongoing battle with cancer, along with caring for his wife the Princess of Wales who is also undergoing treatment for cancer, but looked relaxed as he made the trip to Birmingham to watch his beloved Villa in action.
Tucked away inside the luxury private seating area at the 42,640-seater stadium, William was animated alongside friends that had joined him and appeared to go through a range of emotions in the first-half.
