St. Louis City SC star Eduard Lowen has announced that his wife has brain cancer.
Lowen, 27, was ruled out of action in March with what was reported as hamstring injury, and hasn’t seen the field in over two months.
He told reporters on Thursday that his wife, Ilona, is, ‘doing well at the moment, thank God. She’s doing really well and we’ll see how it’s progressing,’ he said via the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.
St. Louis coach Bradley Carnell had said in April, ‘Edu, we’ve given him a bit of space, he needs to deal with some things away from the field right now, and that’s where we’d like to leave that discussion.”
