Thomas Tuchel has been appointed England’s new manager after signing a £6m-a-year deal to lead the Three Lions into the 2026 World Cup.
The German-born Tuchel becomes England’s third foreign manager after Sven-Goran Eriksson and Fabio Capello as he replaces Gareth Southgate following his resignation in July.
The 51-year-old has managed five club teams including Chelsea and Bayern Munich, but has never coached at international level.
He started his senior coaching career in 2009, and has now been tasked with guiding England to major tournament glory for the first time since 1966.
Mail Sport has taken a look back at Tuchel’s 15-year career in the dugout to date as he prepares to take charge of the England national team.
