‘Real Madrid REGRET signing Kylian Mbappe’
Real Madrid reportedly “regret” signing Kylian Mbappe on a free transfer this summer.
The France international finally joined Los Blancos in July after years of speculation, with Florentino Perez finalising an agreement for Mbappe to join the club before his disappointing Euro 2024 campaign.
However, Mbappe failed to score in each of his first three La Liga games, while three of his seven Real Madrid goals have come from the penalty spot.

Meanwhile, the Frenchman’s arrival has also seen a reduction in final-third proficiency from Jude Bellingham, who is yet to score his first club goal of the season and has been forced to move into a deeper role due to the addition of Mbappe.

French journalist Romain Molina has now claimed that Real Madrid have been disappointed by Mbappe’s performances so far this season.
“They regret bringing him [Mbappe] in,” Molina told Colinterview. “I guarantee that. I have spoken about it on and off [the record].

“It hasn’t been at all what they were expecting. It was a whim of [Florentino] Perez. It was only Perez that wanted him.
“[Perez] has always liked the big players. He also has a filial relationship with him [Mbappe] the club are gutted, firstly with his level, which is not at all at the expected levels, in the dressing room it isn’t great, that isn’t necessarily Mbappe’s fault though.
“I think Real have made a big mistake. He didn’t have a pre-season, he played instantly, unlike [Jude] Bellingham.
“When you see how [Mbappé] is physically at 25, you can’t explain it to me. The physical drop-off that he has had at 25, I have never seen that.”
Real Madrid remain unbeaten in La Liga so far this season, but they are three points behind league leaders Barcelona, while they suffered a shock 1-0 Champions League defeat to Lille in early October.
