Conor McGregor breaks silence: ‘I’ll be back’

Conor McGregor has spoken out after his UFC return was postponed following his latest injury.

It was announced Thursday that McGregor was officially ruled out of a planned return to the Octagon at the end of this month.

The Irishman was scheduled to finally lock horns with Michael Chandler at UFC 303 in Las Vegas, only for injury to put the long-awaited fight on hold once again.

And after pulling out of the June 29 contest, McGregor has taken to Instagram to express his frustration.

‘Very tough to be ruled out of my scheduled return bout,’ he shared in a post on Saturday.

‘I picked up an injury prior to the press conference that required more time to heal than was available to me.

‘The decision to postpone the fight was not made lightly, but one made in consultation with my doctors, the UFC, and my team. My fans and opponent deserve me at my best for this fight and we will get there!

‘Thank you for the messages of support, I am in good spirits and confident I’ll be back!’
