Texans-Packers game erupts in chaos as Stefon Diggs confronts Green Bay players

admin

Houston Texans wide receiver Stefon Diggs wanted to fight the entire Green Bay Packers roster before being held back by staff members from both teams as well as an official on Sunday.

The scuffle started between Diggs and Jaire Alexander where the Texans star was trash-talking the Packers cornerback near the Green Bay sideline.

Fellow Green Bay defensive back Keisean Nixon did not too kindly to something Diggs said, getting in his face as well.

Two Packers quickly turned to four wanting a word with Diggs, which escalated quickly to more than a dozen Green Bay players.

Finally, one member of each team’s staff and a referee are able to get Diggs away from the Packers’ sideline and diffuse the situation.

There was not an appearance from one of Diggs’ teammates to help him, with ample time to get from one sideline to the other.

Houston knows mass-confrontation incidents would have likely cost them in fines or ejections. Having Diggs fight that battle by himself, regardless of how it started, is a bad look.

Diggs ended the game with five catches for 23 yards as the Packers defense mainly shut down the Texans’ pass attack in the 24-22 win.

Texans quarterback CJ Stroud only finished the game with 86 passing yards, his lowest total of the season by over 100 yards.

Diggs has had a reputation as a hot-head since his days in Minnesota, and did nothing to dispel the rumor in Buffalo.

The now-Texan also did not do a thing to buck that trend on Sunday.
