Ryan Leaf has turned on former ally Jay Glazer, branding the NFL insider a βfraudβ and a βcon manβ in an extraordinary attack over mental health.
Leaf, the second overall pick in the 1998 NFL draft, has previously praised Glazer for helping him break into the media world after his struggles with addiction, mental health struggles and even prison.
Fox Sports insider Glazer has built a reputation as a mental health advocate and he even wrote a self-help book β entitled βUnbreakableβ β about how he βturned depression and anxiety into motivation.β

Leaf responded to the clip on social media by attacking Glazer, claiming that his admiration for Phelps has been thrown into doubt by his association with the NFL insider.
βGlazer is a fraud when it comes to anything mental health or wellness related,β Leaf wrote on X, formerly Twitter.Β
βHe uses it for his benefit and really isnβt invested in any of it unless it benefits him and his brand. Phelps is an inspiration but it gives me pause that he muddies his mind with that con man.β
Leaf was a quarterback on the San Diego Chargers, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Dallas Cowboys and Seattle Seahawks between 1998 and 2002.
