Jesse Lingard has returned to West Ham to train today.
The 30-year-old enjoys a good relationship with David Moyes from their spell working together in 2021. Lingard played some of his best football while on loan from Manchester United scoring nine goals in 16 appearances, scoring more in four months than he had in a whole season during his time at Old Trafford.
When Lingard was coming to the end of his contract with United last year, West Ham tried to sign him but couldn’t find an agreement.
Lingard left to join Nottingham Forest on a lucrative one year contract and struggled to make the desired impression.
Although now a free agent again, he has still to find a club but Moyes has offered him the chance to work with old teammates and build up his fitness.

Lingard has offers from Saudi Arabia, Qatar and the MLS but has still to find an opportunity that feels right.
West Ham may consider offering him a contract if he impresses but there are no obligations as they link up once again.
West Ham are working on finding another attacking midfielder as Lucas Paqueta is expected to join Manchester City if they put forward a new, substantial bid.
Mohammed Kudus of Ajax is a player of interest while others such as Rennes’ Lovro Majer have been offered.
Moyes is keen to strengthen the spine of his side having added Edson Alvarez and James Ward-Prowse. He is also waiting on Manchester United clearing talks for defender Harry Maguire.
