Oct. 16—Berks Catholic defeated Conrad Weiser 3-2 in a District 3 Class 2A girls tennis team semifinal Monday at Robesonia.
The fifth-seeded Saints (12-3), who qualified for the PIAA team tournament, advanced to face second-seeded and defending champion Lancaster Country Day (140-0) in the final Wednesday at Hershey Racquet Club at 2 p.m.
The top-seeded Scouts (13-2) will host third-seeded Delone Catholic (14-1) in the third-place match Wednesday at 4 p.m. The winner will qualify for states.
LCD defeated Delone 3-0 in the other semifinal.
Berks Catholic got wins Monday from Cara Cavorsi at No. 3 singles and both doubles teams.
Cavorsi defeated Emily McGonigle 4-6, 6-1, 6-4.
In doubles, Claire Pakradooni and Francesca Ditsky defeated Reagan Wenrich and Charlotte Wenrich 6-2, 0-6, 6-2 at No. 1; and Thania Cubas and Serena Burkey beat Jenny Le and Olivia Harting 6-4, 6-3.
For Conrad Weiser, Emma Perkins defeated Sarah Schnatz 6-0, 6-0 at No. 1 singles, and . Isabel Wiggins beat Isabella Logozzo 6-1, 6-1 at No. 2.
